Labubu is a mischievous little monster with sharp teeth, wide grin, and playful demeanor, which is acute and edgy.   The character has become a cultural phenomenon worldwide, appearing as vinyl toys, plushies, and even large-scale sculptures.

Their designer, Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung, drew inspiration from his childhood memories, folklore, and a deep love for nature, infusing a curious and adventurous Labubu. Lung's journey in creating Labubu was also a self-discovery, as he sought to express his inner child and share it with the world. Through Labubu, Lung has not only created a character but also a symbol of joy and creativity that continues to inspire and delight.

Labubu has captured the hearts of numerous celebrities. One of the most notable fans is South Korean popstar Lisa. She has repeatedly shared photos of herself carrying Labubu dolls on social media. With such exposure, Labubu's popularity has skyrocketed. Particularly in Thailand, Labubu has become a nationwide trend, not just among Lisa's fans. Thailand has also become the country with the largest inventory of Labubu dolls in Asia.  The Thai government has partnered with Pop Mart to leverage Labubu's popularity for tourism promotion. Life-sized Labubu dolls dressed in traditional Thai attire can be seen exploring landmarks and participating in cultural activities across Bangkok.
