Bhutan Airlines is set to expand its international reach with the launch of direct flights between Paro and Hong Kong, starting January 27, 2025.
Currently, travelers can reach Hong Kong from Bhutan with layovers in Kathmandu, Nepal, or Bangkok, Thailand, extending the journey to 8-9 hours. The new direct route will significantly reduce travel time to just 3-4 hours, bringing these two destinations closer than ever before.
The airline plans to operate 16 fixed-departure flights annually between Paro and Hong Kong, aligning with peak travel seasons. Ticket prices are set at BTN 81,100 (approximately HKD 7,404) for economy class and BTN 105,000 (approximately HKD 9,586) for business class.
Bhutan has long been regarded as a unique travel destination, celebrated for its stunning landscapes, ancient temples, and a profound sense of spirituality—qualities that make it feel untouched by urban modernity. For travelers in Hong Kong and neighboring regions, the introduction of direct flights to Bhutan presents a long-awaited opportunity to explore a destination that is both enchanting and distinctive.
