The G20 RIO Summit is set to take place at the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro from November 18 to 19, 2024. During the summit, the leaders express their unwavering support for the "Global Alliance to Fight Hunger and Poverty," a collaborative effort aimed at eradicating food insecurity and improving the livelihoods of the most vulnerable populations. The alliance seeks to foster partnerships among governments, international organizations, and civil society to develop innovative solutions that can effectively tackle these challenges.

In conjunction with the summit, the leaders agree to host the International Food Loss Conference, which aims to shed light on the critical issue of food waste and its direct impact on hunger and poverty worldwide. This conference will serve as a platform for sharing best practices, strategies, and technologies that can significantly reduce food loss throughout the supply chain—from production and processing to distribution and consumption.

The discussions at the summit are expected to focus on a comprehensive approach to combating hunger and poverty, emphasizing the importance of sustainable agricultural practices, equitable food distribution, and social safety nets. Leaders will explore ways to leverage technology and innovation to enhance food security and empower communities, ensuring that no one is left behind.
