As winter's curtain fell on Altay's ski resort, thrill-seekers gave the 2024-2025 season a send-off to remember – by turning the melting slopes into their personal waterpark! With creative flair, visitors traded traditional skiing for improvised water sliding, transforming the softening snow into a playground of laughter and last-season adrenaline.  

The day's excitement built to a crescendo at noon when daredevils lined up for the ultimate challenge: a high-speed race down the slopes before launching themselves into a 35-meter-long reservoir. The crowd roared as participants soared – some sticking perfect landings, others taking spectacular spills that sent waves of laughter (and water) flying through the air.  

This joyful chaos wasn't just fun and games – it capped off a record-breaking season that saw 894,500 visitors flock to the resort. More than just a winter destination, Altay's innovative celebration proves why it's become the beating heart of Xinjiang's booming ice and snow tourism scene.
