With the Year of the Snake approaching, captivating art installations themed around snakes are appearing across China and winning over many hearts.

At Deji Plaza, a magnificent place in Nanjing, two of the cutest snake installations exist. These installations are titled "Cute Snake's Dreaming of Butterfly" and "Cute Snake in Spring Dawn." The installations are a focal point of Deji Plaza's atrium, with the tallest one standing an impressive 8 meters high.

These artworks draw inspiration from the butterfly snake and pay homage to the classic Chinese tale "Zhuang Zhou's Dream of a Butterfly." This story beautifully embodies themes of freedom, transformation, and the pursuit of happiness.

Other installations of snakes have also drawn the attention of Chinese social media for their stunning designs, such as the delicate portrayal of the white snake from Hangzhou in East China's Zhejiang Province; the beautiful snake adorned with hairpin flowers from Yunnan, China, and the snake rising majestically in the Hunan Provincial Museum.

The centuries-old Chinese Zodiac system is based on a 12-year cycle. Each year is assigned a different animal sign. The Snake is the sixth animal in the 12-year cycle. It represents wisdom, charm, and elegance.
