Dongguan Low-Altitude Economy High-Quality Development Conference was held at Songshan Lake of Dongguan city of China recently. It was the first outdoor conference of its kind in the Greater Bay Area. Over 300 companies showcased their products in the event, so that visitors would have an overview of the whole industrial chain.

A number of key projects were signed during the event, expected to generate over ¥50 billion output for Dongguan, and made its low-altitude industry more structural, having a strong foundation for development.

Dongguan now possesses more than 500 low-altitude-related enterprises, gradually catching up with Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Drone manufacturing and general aviation are the 2 leading sections in the industry, supported by advanced capabilities in electronic components and power batteries, and innovative platforms for production & research collaboration.

Dongguan is actively promoting "low-altitude+" business models, key achievements like introducing the first professional drone rescue team in the city, launching the first commercial low-altitude customs transportation route in the GBA, developing applications in smart logistics, low-altitude tourism, agricultural and forestry protection, and emergency firefighting.

Dongguan will accelerate the development of drone takeoff and landing infrastructure, establish more low-altitude facilities, coordinate flight routes that connect Guangzhou and Shenzhen, and get prepared for building up GBA aerial transportation corridor.
