Good news to international investors or talents who have their eyes on Guangdong of China for development opportunities. According to a recent 15-point document unveiled by China’s central government authorities, Nansha district of Guangzhou will be benefited from a slew of incentives which help build Nansha into a strategic hub for technological innovation and advanced industries, making it an attractive destination for international talent and investment. The favourable measures include a 144-hour visa-free transit policy for international investors and travelers.
The National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, and the State Administration for Market Regulation of China have recently promulgated the guideline for supporting relaxation of market access and strengthening institutional reform for Nansha. The implementation of 144-hour visa-free transit policy for foreigners and the visa-free policy for cruise travel has been regarded as apart of the country’s ongoing efforts to deepen its opening up strategy and promote high quality development of the Greater Bay Area in Guangdong.
Besides this, Nansha will be encouraged to participate in the formulation and implementation of technical standards for unmanned systems involving sea, land and air; establish an industrial incubation base of unmanned systems for GBA; accelerate the construction of a high-end marine equipment manufacturing base; build an internationally leading comprehensive service system for cross-border investment and financing for enterprises, and promote green, low-carbon and high-quality development.
The measures are believed to give better play to Nansha’s leading role in bolstering the development of GBA. It is expected to further promote Nansha's openness and development, and help build the place into a hub for technological innovation, and advanced industries as well as an attractive destination for international tourism, financial resources and talent.
