According to China Railway’s latest report, the traffic volume by the "East Corridor" line of China-Europe high speed rail has exceeded 30,000 by August 20, 2024, making the entire China-Europe high speed rail the largest railway project in human history.
With a total length of 5870 miles, China-Europe high speed rail runs from Beijing to Berlin of Germany, passing through Russia, spanning the Eurasian continent.
China-Europe high speed rail, being the longest freight railway line in the world, connects China, Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Germany, France and Spain. It has operated more than 87,000 trains, reaching 222 cities in 25 European countries up to the end of March 2024.
The running time of China-Europe high speed rail is one-fourth that of sea freight and twenty times that of air freight. The price is about one-fifth that of air freight and six times that of sea freight. It can facilitate bulk e-commerce that has requirements on delivery time. Transportation of products, light industrial and high-tech electronic products, and food such as wine that require refrigeration.
One of the line of "East Corridor” of China-Europe high speed rail is passing through 14 countries, included Poland, Germany and Netherlands, link with more than 60 cities in the mainland of China, such as Changsha, Zhengzhou, Chengdu, Suzhou of China.
