The direct waterway route from Nansha Passenger Port in Guangzhou to Hong Kong International Airport has resumed after a four-year suspension. Passengers can now travel from Nansha Port to Hong Kong airport's restricted area in just 70 minutes, enjoying "Through-Check Baggage" services.
Guangzhou Customs has implemented a seamless “sea-to-air” transportation model, allowing passengers to complete pre-check-in and baggage procedures directly at Nansha Passenger Port. This service ensures the baggage transferred straight to the final destination, eliminating the need for passengers to handle their luggage during transit in Hong Kong.
Currently, Nansha Passenger Port operates nine daily routes to and from Hong Kong. In the first two months of this year, Nansha Customs handled 352 passenger ships and 25,000 passengers. The resumption of this route enhances connectivity within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, boosting regional economic integration and facilitating communication.
