Following the opening of Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link, Nansha, one of the three major free trade zones in the Greater Bay Area, announces massive enhancement works for its high speed rail station to cater for the rising needs of cross-cities commuters.
To support the blooming development needs of Nansha of Guangzhou, Nansha New Area Industrial Park Development Authority has recently announced the construction plan of a number of transformational work projects for Nansha Station, including underground urban corridors, taxi parking lots, elevated drop-off platforms, municipal parking lots, and above-ground urban corridors. Construction will proceed alongside with those for the main station to ensure timely progress and operational efficiency, with the entire project planned for completion by March 2028.
The underground urban corridor will be approximately 72 meters wide, 216 meters long, and cover about 16,000 square meters. It will connect the underground areas, facilitating easy access to the subway and reduce congestion.
Nansha Station is just 45mins away from Hong Kong’s West Kowloon Station. With the opening of Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link, Nansha is just 45 minutes from Guangzhounan Railway Station and 30 minutes from Shenzhen Baoan International Airport. This station is expected to serve as a vital link between the east and west sides of the Pearl River, enhancing the connection of industries, talent exchange,
m and technological collaboration, and promoting the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area into a world-class bay area and city cluster.
