Following its maiden voyage from Shanghai early June this year, international cruise ship Blue Dream Melody inaugurated Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Home Port by the last week of June, carrying over 600 tourists, for a five-day, four-night journey to Halong Bay, Vietnam. Thirteen newlyweds were honored during the inauguration ceremony, marking the occasion and for a memorable honeymoon trip.  

The cruise ship measures 202 meters in length, has 12 decks, a total tonnage of 42,289 tons, and features 609 cabins, accommodating up to 1,580 passengers.  After renovations, it made its maiden voyage in Shanghai on June 6. The ship boasts a wide range of dining, entertainment, and leisure facilities, including six restaurants, four bars, beauty centers, steam rooms, cafes, and theaters. It offers diverse accommodation options, from budget-friendly interior cabins to luxurious sea-view rooms and family-friendly suites.

The opening of Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Home Port is poised to meet the growing demand for cruise tourism, promoting the development of the cruise industry as well as shopping, leisure, and entertainment sectors in the Greater Bay Area. This initiative plays a vital role in attracting international cruise ships, establishing itself as a new symbol and landmark for Guangzhou.
