Before coming to China, I worked at a thermal power station in Russia for about four years. Then, in 2013, I came to Harbin. At that time, our company was involved in an important project in China, building a 660 MW generator set in Russia using all Chinese equipment. While working on the project, I learned Chinese and decided to stay in China.

In 2019, our generator set project was almost completed, and I enrolled at Harbin Engineering University to pursue a master's degree in thermodynamics and power system, which took three years. After graduating in 2022, I decided to come to move to Nansha. I chose Guangzhou because of its numerous business opportunities. The Canton Fair is held twice a year, and there are several industry-specific exhibitions every month. Then we discovered Nansha, a relatively new development area in Guangzhou. The policies here aimed to attract talents from other regions, so we thought we seized the opportunity to move to Nansha. We visited the Nansha Government Service Center for consultation, submitted all the required information within a day or two, and received our business license on the third day. Nansha is very welcoming to talents. When running a business, economic considerations are crucial. The cost of renting an office and managing other business matters here is relatively low. For example, you can rent a 98-square-meter office space for around RMB3,500.

Line 18 takes about 15 minutes from Hengli Station to Panyu Square Station, with a speed of around 160 kilometers per hour, almost like high-speed rail. If a customer needs to go to Dongguan, I can go there as well. If the client wants to go to Shenzhen, I can go to Shenzhen. I can also travel to Foshan, Zhuhai, Hong Kong, and other places. Transportation in Nansha is very convenient. It has been two years since my company was established in Nansha. We primarily provide various technical information services to foreign customers. For example, if they need to find specific equipment, I will help them find suitable manufacturers in China. Some customers prefer not to handle the purchasing themselves, so I help them purchase equipment here under my company's name and then handle the export. If Chinese companies need to export equipment to Russia or other countries, I help solve all the issues they encounter. We have substantial experience in this kind of work. Our business has at least tripled in size, and I believe our growth rate will be even higher in the future.

There are many high-tech companies in Nansha, which sparks our interest in areas such as autonomous driving and flying cars. For example, there are shipbuilding companies and gas supply companies. I enjoy learning new things to see if they can be applied to my own business. When I am tired from work, I often come here to relax. Nansha has a high degree of greenery, and all the infrastructure is quite new. Transportation is also very convenient, making it easier to live here. That's why we chose Nansha. There are about 100 Russians in Nansha now. The community organizes various activities for international residents, such as Chinese classes and events for the Mid-Autumn Festival and Dragon Boat Festival. Through these activities, we can better understand Chinese culture. My keyword is happiness. I feel happy living and working in Nansha. I feel good when I go to work every day and when I pick my child up from school. The living conditions and environment here are excellent, and there are abundant business opportunities.
