Asian elepant Angya finds her true love finally!
: :

Angya, a 39-year-old Asian elephant residing at the Changchun Zoological and Botanical Garden for the past 34 years, had been the only Asian elephant in Jilin of China. In an effort to end her solitary life, the zoo initiated a search for a companion for her three years ago. Love indeed found its way despite the distance, as Xixi, a 26-year-old elephant deemed a suitable match, journeyed 3,000 km from Chongqing to Jilin, finally arriving on May 20.

They described Xixi as an "energetic animal star." In order to ensure the successful union of Angya and Xixi, the zoo has been conducting on-site inspections, reinforcing enclosures, providing behavioral training, arranging transportation, and creating a comfortable habitat for Xixi's arrival to ensure the elephants' safety and well-being.

Following several days of being together, Angya and Xixi engaged in some affectionate interactions within their enclosure, drawing the attention of numerous visitors. Notably, the elephants were observed leaning against each other, indicating a deep emotional connection and communication on an intimate level. A week later, the harmonious pair cohabited successfully and made a delightful appearance together in the outdoor exhibition area, showcasing their budding companionship and joyous union.
