Just take a look at these big, scrumptious dumplings! With their fragrant meaty essence and golden, crispy exteriors, coupled with the refreshing pork bone soup, they offer a cozy and gratifying experience.

Today being my day off, I made the journey from Yuen Long to relish some dumplings. I recall the long queues here, so I opted to come on a weekday. The cabbage dumplings are my absolute favorite - they usually sell out rapidly after work!

Dumplings in Hong Kong display both northern and southern traits. In Prince Edward, you can relish genuine northern dumplings, especially the hand-rolled Shandong type. The rolled skins are rich with the aroma of flour, resulting in a hearty meal that satisfies your hunger. Northern dumplings typically have more intense flavors, ideal for those who endure colder weather and engage in physical work.

One remarkable dumpling shop in the area has received a Michelin recommendation for 11 consecutive years, drawing a diverse array of visitors, including local celebrities. Their mutton dumpling stands out for its unique utilization of mutton instead of ordinary goat meat, which has a perfect 30% fat to 70% meat ratio.
