Hong Kong’s Biggest Literary Festival Returns in March 2025
: :

Hong Kong's largest literary festival is set to make a comeback from March 1 to 8, 2025! This year's event is expected to have an outstanding lineup of both up-and-coming and well-established authors. It will take place at various locations throughout the city, such as the Central Library and Soho House.

The festival will offer an exciting variety of programs, including literary lunches, workshops, family activities, and special focuses for International Women’s Day. There will be sessions suitable for book lovers of all ages, ensuring there's something for everyone!

Highlights of this year’s HKILF include Alka Joshi's marquee event regarding her highly acclaimed Jaipur trilogy; a talk with Bernadine Evaristo, the Booker Prize-winning author of Girl, Woman, Other. Additionally, Hong Kong's literary talent will also shine at the festival. Sonia Leung, the author of The Girl Who Dreamed: A Hong Kong Journey, will share her inspiring story of perseverance and conduct a writing workshop aimed at enabling participants to reclaim their own narratives.

Don't miss the engaging discussion featuring writer, comedian, and host Jennifer Wong, along with chef ArChan Chan of Ho Lee Fook. They will reflect on their works exploring the themes of food and family, in celebration of International Women’s Day.

Mark your calendars and get ready for a week of literary celebration and inspiration!
