Meituan, China's biggest online food delivery platform, has released its yearly Black Pearl Restaurant Guide for 2025, and the display from Hong Kong is nothing short of extraordinary, with 37 restaurants showcased!

Similar to the Michelin Guide, the Black Pearl Restaurant Guide rates restaurants with a system of diamonds: one diamond means it's a must-try for a group, two diamonds mean it's a spot to enjoy a celebratory meal, and three diamonds mean it's an extraordinary dining experience.

The guide this year includes 370 total restaurants from 34 different cities around the globe, with other China cities like Changzhou, Quanzhou, Wenzhou, and Sanya joining in on the fun as the new kids on the block.

The Chairman, a celebrated Cantonese restaurant situated in Central on Hong Kong Island, has been upgraded from its prior two-diamond status to an impressive three-diamond rating. It now ranks with Howard’s Gourmet as one of the only two restaurants in Hong Kong to receive this esteemed honor.
