City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) has achieved remarkable success in the latest Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Asia University Rankings for 2025. Out of 984 universities assessed, CityUHK secured the 10th position in Asia, climbing seven spots from the previous year and ranking third in Hong Kong. This highlights Hong Kong as one of the best cities for international students.
CityUHK excelled in several key indicators, notably ranking first in Asia in three sub-categories under “Global Engagement.” The university demonstrated exceptional performance in “Learning Experience” and “Research and Discovery,” reflecting its dedication to fostering international education and innovative academic research.
CityUHK led Asia in three areas of “Global Engagement”: the “Proportion of International Faculty,” “Proportion of Inbound Exchange Students,” and “Proportion of Outbound Exchange Students.” Furthermore, the university achieved a perfect score in the “Proportion of International Students” sub-category. Additionally, CityUHK excelled in metrics such as “Academic Reputation,” “Citations per Paper,” and “Papers per Faculty,” underscoring its commitment to academic excellence and research impact.
These advancements play a significant role in establishing Hong Kong as an international hub for post-secondary education and in promoting the “Study in Hong Kong” brand.
