The 2025 edition of the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens will take place from March 28 to 30, marking a historic debut of the new Kai Tak Sports Park.

This state-of-the-art venue can accommodate 50,000 spectators and features international-standard facilities, along with a diverse array of dining, retail, and leisure options, promising an extraordinary experience for players and rugby fans alike.

The inaugural Hong Kong Rugby Sevens was held in 1976, attracting 3,000 spectators and featuring 12 teams. Today, it has grown into one of the largest sporting events in the city, drawing local and international crowds who come to enjoy not only the matches but also the vibrant atmosphere filled with entertainment, food, and drinks.

Chris Brooke, chairman of Hong Kong, China Rugby (HKCR), expressed confidence that sufficient test events will be conducted before welcoming around 150,000 attendees over the three-day festival to be held at the new stadium in Kai Tak.

Further details about the upcoming Hong Kong Sevens will be announced in the coming months, with tickets set to go on sale in early November.
