The inaugural Art021 Hong Kong will be held from August 28 to September 8, to bring a new model of art fairs to the city, spanning across four different venues in Hong Kong and highlighting 73 galleries and projects from 13 countries and regions.
The Art021 was held in Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair, Jingart in Beijing, and the DnA Shenzhen Design and Art Fair. This is the first time Art021 landing on Hong Kong. Art021 Hong Kong will feature five main programmes including the Galleries Section at the Phillips Asia Headquarters in the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority Tower, showcasing contemporary paintings, ink paintings, sculptures, installations, and digital artworks from 40 galleries.
The Sculpture Section, a free public exhibition, will be shown on the central lawn of Victoria Park and the rooftop of the Fringe Club with works by acclaimed artists. The Asia Society Hong Kong Centre will host the Videos Section that will feature contemporary visual arts by up-and-coming artists to museum-level artworks by established artists.
