The "Love in the Light" exhibition is currently enchanting visitors in the Sai Ying Pun Community Complex of Hong Kong. Running nightly from 6 PM to 10 PM, the exhibition maintains a romantic atmosphere with vibrant light performances accompanied by melodious music.
The light shows occur every 10 minutes, each lasting 5 minutes, ensuring that there’s always something new to experience. The exhibition is set to run for an entire year, until May 21 of next year. The colorful displays, set against the backdrop of the historical site's characteristic arches, create an immersive experience that transcends visitors into a world of light and sound and enjoy a journey with the abundance of cultural and historic memories of this early Baroque landmark step by step.
One of the standout features of "Love in the Light" is its use of augmented reality (AR) technology. Visitors can interact with a virtual Shop Cat, brought to life through their mobile phone screens. By scanning a QR code, guests can capture memorable photos with the Shop Cat as they explore the arcade, adding a playful and engaging element to their visit.
Designed by acclaimed local architect Siu Kwok-kin, this unique exhibition transforms the arched verandah into a mesmerizing light display, blending art, architecture, and technology through the concept of a time tunnel, inviting everyone to come and enjoy this enchanting celebration of love and light.
