The Olympics will take place in Paris, France, from July 26 to 11 August. Hongkongers would be able to watch the Olympics and the Paralympics on Hong Kong’s local electronic media as the Hong Kong government has purchased the broadcasting rights of 2024 Olympics.

Hong Kong athletes had qualified to compete in 15 events at the Olympics and 12 in the Paralympics. The sports for the Olympics include cycling, sailing, swimming, table tennis, windsurfing and more. For the Paralympics, athletes are slated to compete in boccia, equestrian and swimming events.

The move hopes to bring joyous ambience to Hong Kong community and allow Hongkongers to cheer for Hong Kong athletes.

The Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC) said it fully supports the government’s purchase of the broadcasting rights of the 2024 Paris Olympics. SF&OC believes that it provides greater convenience for the public to watch the Olympic Games for free and cheer for the athletes of the national and Hong Kong teams. During the games, they will update the latest competition schedule and news of the Hong Kong team on social media as well.

The Olympics 2024 can be watched on TVB, ViuTV, HOY TV and public broadcaster RTHK for free in Hong Kong.
