Good news for art lovers! The inaugural Hong Kong Performing Arts Expo (HKPAX) will take place from 14 – 18 October 2024, bringing arts professionals from China and worldwide together in Hong Kong to experience the city’s unique culture and thriving performing arts landscape.

The five-day HKPAX will feature an array of programs spanning across seven major sectors: “Expo Programs,” “International Showcases,” “Pitch Sessions,” “Talks,” “Exhibition,” “Cultural Offerings,” and “Tour to Guangzhou, Shenzhen.” The “Expo Programs” sector will highlight performances by famous Hong Kong artists in premier theaters, while “International Showcases” will feature drama, dance, Xiqu and music performances from worldwide artists and performing arts groups. These sectors offer a unique platform for artists to explore, express, and exchange their artistry. 

Furthermore, arts professionals will have the chance to showcase their compelling productions and pitch innovative projects to their peers through the “Exhibition” segment at HKPAX. Additionally, the expo will offer an optional Tour to Guangzhou / Shenzhen, offering participants an excellent opportunity to delve into the local culture and vibrant art scene of the Greater Bay Area.

Events will primarily unfold in the West Kowloon Cultural District, a bustling arts hub housing performance venues, museums, green spaces, and dining establishments. Additionally, renowned theaters and exhibition venues like the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Tai Kwun, Asia Society Hong Kong, and Hong Kong Arts Centre will host various activities.
