The 2024 Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races will soon return to the Victoria Harbour, bringing legendary dragon boat races off the Tsim Sha Tsui East Promenade on 15–16 June.
The two-day event will fill the harbour with exhilarating races, vibrant colours, resonating drum beats and waves of cheering.
The iconic dragon boat races, “Stanley International Dragon Boat Championships" is back too! Returning to Stanley main beach on June 10, this year's event will feature over 150 teams with more than 5,500 paddlers from Hong Kong and abroad.
The Dragon Boat Festival is one of the most favourite traditional festivals celebrated in Hong Kong. Dragon Boat Festival takes place on June 10 this year.
Besides dragon boat races, you can’t have a Dragon Boat Festival without ‘zongzi’, sticky rice dumplings. The most common ‘zongzi’ in Hong Kong is the Cantonese variety, with tender pork belly, roasted duck, salted eggs, and mushrooms. Or if you have a sweet tooth, opt for the sweet varieties with red bean paste or sweet potatoes.
