Great news for lacrosse enthusiasts! The World Lacrosse 2024 Women's U20 Championship is set to be held in Hong Kong, China from August 15-24, 2024. This will mark the seventh edition of the event and a significant milestone as it is the first time the tournament that will be hosted in Asia. The prestigious championship will bring together top women's programs for an exhilarating junior-level world championship.
Mong Kok Stadium, a venue with a seating capacity of 6,500 known for hosting Hong Kong Premier League Football matches, will be the primary location for the featured games. This includes the opening game, semifinals, medal matches, as well as the grand opening and closing ceremonies.
The tournament kicks off on August 15 with three exciting matches before the opening ceremony: Israel vs. China, Korea vs. Chinese Taipei, and Mexico vs. Italy. The host team, Hong Kong, China, will then face off against Jamaica at Mong Kok Stadium following the ceremony. Teams will participate in pool play over six days, competing in four games each.
