What will you do in a swimming pool? What will you do when it is just next to the harbour?
A large outdoor at installations at Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront may stretch your imagination. The Hong Kong Museum of Art (HKMoA)'s new exhibition, "Harbour Wonder", engaged two Hong Kong artists Chan Wai Lap and Tsoi Wai Kuen to create two sets of large-scale outdoor art installations at its frontcourt, for inspiring the public to re-imagine the neighbouring harbour.
While Chan has created a surreal yet public swimming pool, Tsoi transforms the iconic architecture and buildings along the Victoria Horizon into a collection of “playful landmarks” which people can sit on. The art installations have turned the forefront of HKMoA a public space for relaxation, allowing audiences to sit and enjoy the beautiful and unique scenery on both sides of the harbour.
The "Harbour Wonder" exhibition is being staged at Art Square, at the forecourt of the HKMoA until March 24, 2024.
Date: NOW - March 24, 2024
Venue: Art Square, Forecourt of HKMoA
